A statement from our Trustees

On behalf of The Children’s Grief Charity, Chair of Trustees, has made the following statement:
“We are saddened by the news of the death of Queen Elizabeth. For myself, I was deeply affected by the news, immediately reminded of the feelings I have experienced of my own close bereavement. A nation has lost its figurehead, but ultimately, a family has lost its Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother and more. This news, and the following events over the coming weeks, will no doubt affect many children and young people who are facing grief, but we will ensure we can offer support to those who need it, and advice and guidance to all. Our guides and information are free and accessible, and we encourage families, schools and institutions to seek support at this challenging time.”
