Remembering and Making Memories

24th November 2025

To close Children’s Grief Awareness Week, we hosted our annual Forever Night events in Bristol and London, welcoming over 80 attendees, many for the first time. Families came together to remember loved ones and create new memories through arts, crafts, and storytelling—a powerful way for grieving children to explore their feelings.

“My standout moment was watching my daughter share the story she created with the other children.”

At Forever Night, families made comic strips with a ‘hero’ at the centre—sometimes themselves, sometimes the person they had lost, or someone who had supported them. These creative activities offered connection, expression, and hope, giving families a meaningful way to honour their loved ones while discovering strength in each other.

“Hearing the children share who was under their love umbrella after reading the story was a stand out moment.”
