Exploring Grief Through Art

20 June 2025

In 2025, we launched our first ‘Grief Speaks’ event at the Graphic Art Centre in London, creating a safe and welcoming space for young people to express and explore their grief.

The event brought together 11 young people aged between 14 and 25. Through spoken word and screen-printing workshops, participants were able to explore their emotions, reflect on their experiences and share their stories creatively.

The event also provided an opportunity for young people to connect with others who had experienced grief, helping them feel less alone and more comfortable speaking openly about their experiences.

One young person shared: “It was wonderful to connect with others and share our experiences freely, in a space where we could speak without fear of judgement.”

Through ‘Grief Speaks’, we created a space where creativity, connection and honest conversations could help young people find their voice and express their grief in their own way.
